What the DevOps Engineer will do
The DevOps Engineer will play a key role within our hosting and infrastructure team, acting as the bridge between system engineering and software development. The DevOps Engineer will:
– Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our infrastructure
– Develop, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines
– Collaborate with development teams to automate and improve deployment processes
– Maintain and optimize our Private Cloud (both physical and virtual)
– Manage and enhance container and Kubernetes clusters
– Write and maintain Ansible Playbooks and Roles
– Deploy and configure new virtual machines (VMs) based on Debian or Ubuntu
– Implement and manage monitoring and logging tools (such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK-stack)
– Manage network configurations (routers, firewalls, and VPNs)
– Research and integrate new technologies while modernizing legacy systems
– Participate in on-call rotation (piketdienst)
– Keep documentation up to date and contribute to process automation
Who we’re looking for
The DevOps Engineer will be able to work both independently and collaboratively, with a strong open-source mindset.
Additionally, the DevOps Engineer will:

– Bring a strong background in Linux systems, preferably Debian/Ubuntu
– Have hands-on experience with CI/CD, containers, and automation
– Work in a structured, accurate, and detail-oriented way
– Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills

– Be curious, eager to learn, and confident in sharing ideas
– Be reliable and engaged with both the team and the organization
Experience and knowledge
The DevOps Engineer will have:
– Relevant experience in a hosting or DevOps-related environment
– Proven experience with Linux, containers (Docker/Kubernetes), and open-source technologies
– Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or ArgoCD
– Knowledge of automation and configuration management using Ansible or similar tools
– Basic understanding of networking and security principles
– Good command of English, both spoken and written (Dutch is a plus)
