The Job

As Associate/Junior Product Manager, you will work closely with our product team to develop software products and solutions for the heritage sector. You will play a key role in gathering customer feedback, investigating possible solution directions and creating tickets for our development teams. Thanks to your knowledge and experience in the sector, you will contribute to innovative solutions for the management and disclosure of heritage collections.

Responsibilities

• Developing and refining epics and user stories, including setting clear acceptance criteria

• Participating in and organizing refinements and design sessions

• Staying up to date on new trends and developments that are relevant to the products

• Contributing to the development of product documentation and user manuals

• Monitoring product performance and collecting user feedback to improve our products

• Ensuring compliance with laws and regulations regarding archiving and publication, such as the Archives Act, WOO, or copyright

• Providing explanations and training on the operation of our products to both customers and colleagues

Your Profile

• Passion for heritage and a strong interest in applying technology for the management and presentation of heritage

• A completed higher professional or university education, preferably in a relevant field such as cultural heritage, (public) history, archival science, or digital humanities

• Demonstrable knowledge and experience in the heritage sector, collection management or digital archiving

• Good understanding of collection management software, relevant metadata standards, and processes within digital heritage

• Knowledge of software development and product management methodologies (preferably Agile) is a plus

• Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English

• Analytical ability to interpret ideas and feedback and translate them into concrete actions

• A proactive, flexible and hands-on attitude, with the ability to work independently as well as in a team
