Vitec Software Group is a leading provider of Vertical Software. We buy and develop vertical software companies. Our group consists of 45 independent businesses, which we call business units.

Vitec operates in a decentralized model, and, therefore, the Business Units are very autonomous in the way they run their business. Because of their relatively small size, many of the Business Units need supporting competencies that they don’t want to build themselves. To support our Business Units in this need, we have created a Financial Services organization in four of our six home countries (Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark).

Since 2021, Vitec has been acquiring seven companies in the Netherlands. With our growing presence in this region, the time is ready to build a Financial Service organization in the Netherlands that will support the Dutch Business Units.

We seek a Team Manager Financial Services Netherlands who will build and lead the finance function, ensuring robust financial processes, compliance, and high-quality reporting across our Business Units. You will collaborate closely with Financial Services departments in other countries, our decentralized Business Units locally, and the local partners.

This is a new position in the Netherlands and you will have the opportunity to screen the needs for our subsidiaries in financial support and over time build a team of accountants since we are expanding.

You will be a key player and have wide range of both strategic as well as operational tasks at hand. 

Some of the tasks will be to:

• Plan and screen the needs from our subsidiaries in the Netherlands.
• Represent the department to our internal customers, our subsidiaries in the Netherlands.
• Be responsible for and coordinate the provided services of the department and operatively do the accounting and reporting for some of our Dutch subsidiaries.
• Services covering everything from general ledger accounting and reconciliations, accounts receivable and payable to monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing, controlling and reporting to the Group and VAT declarations and other statutory reports.
• Handling cash pool and contacts with the bank.
• Participate when we acquire new companies.
• Support continuous improvement of financial routines and processes.

Your profile

In this role we are looking for someone that is senior in accounting and familiar with the Dutch accounting standards. We think that you have relevant education and has or have had previous leadership positions. We are also looking for someone who is willing and able to think strategically as well as do the operational work.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Master´s or Bachelor´s degree in finance.
• Years of operating experience of accounting, preferably in a Group.
• Good competence in Dutch accounting and sufficient knowledge of Dutch tax rules.
• Experience of work in leadership and/or solid project management.
• Fluent Dutch, English both in speech and writing, because Group reporting is in English. French is a plus but not mandatory.
• Good skills in Excel and a natural interest in numbers and accounting.
• Desire to understand and develop financial processes in ERP systems. If you have experience in ERP system NetSuite that is a plus but not mandatory.
