The Job

As the Senior Head of Software Development and as member of the Management Team, you will lead multiple Agile development teams, guiding the technical direction of Memorix Nexus and ensuring its continued success in the market. You will be responsible for fostering innovation, improving efficiency, and maintaining our position as a leader in the archive software industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor multiple Agile development teams working on Memorix’ products.
• Drive the implementation of best practices in software development and Agile methodologies.
• Collaborate with Product Management to align development efforts with product strategy and roadmap.
• Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, ensuring high-quality deliverables and timely releases.
• Implement and optimize development processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.
• Manage resource allocation and budgeting for the development department.
• Represent the development team in C-level meetings with clients and partners.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to archive software.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of successfully leading multiple Agile development teams.
• Strong technical background with hands-on experience in software architecture and design.
• In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.
• Experience with Kubernetes (K8s) and API development.
• Familiarity with the cultural and commercial heritage sector is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Results-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality software products.
• Fluency in English; Dutch language skills are a plus.
