The Job

The role of a Planner at Vitec Memorix is critical in ensuring efficient workload management for software developers as they transition from the legacy software Major to the innovative Nexus platform. This position serves as a vital intermediary among the account manager, migration manager, and the development team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Workload Coordination: The Planner is responsible for scheduling and distributing tasks among developers, ensuring that workloads are balanced and aligned with project timelines.
2. Intermediary Role: Acts as a bridge between the account manager, who manages client relationships, and the migration manager, who oversees the transition process. The Planner ensures that both teams are informed and aligned on project requirements and timelines.
3. Communication: Facilitates clear communication among stakeholders, including developers and management, to ensure that all parties are aware of project status and any changes in workload or priorities.
4. Progress Monitoring: Tracks the progress of development tasks and provides updates to relevant stakeholders, identifying any potential bottlenecks or issues early on.
5. Resource Management: Assesses resource availability and skill sets within the development team to optimize task assignments effectively.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Experience in Software Development: A minimum of 5 years of experience as a planner in a software development environment is essential. This experience should involve familiarity with software development processes and methodologies.
• Team Collaboration: Must be a good team player with strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration among various stakeholders.
• Attention to Detail: Precision in planning and execution is crucial to ensure that all aspects of workload management are addressed effectively.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify issues proactively and implement solutions efficiently to keep projects on track.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in Dutch is required, with proficiency in English considered an advantage to facilitate communication within diverse teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
